Staffa House is situated in the heart of Fionnphort, just 5 minutes walk from the jetty where boats leave for Iona, Staffa and the Treshnish Islands.
Fionnphort was historically a fishing village offering pilgrims access to Iona, more recently it became known for the pink granite quarried nearby.
On the doorstep are fine coastal walks, quiet sandy beaches, unfrequented nature reserves, peaceful tracks to deserted villages, whilst the backdrop of Mull’s
rugged hills and mountains offers a wide perspective in the ever-changing light.
Staffa House offers comfortable accommodation with four ensuite bedrooms, a guest lounge and a lovely conservatory where guests enjoy delicious meals
and views over the Sound of Iona. The house is run by Ali Holmes and Gillian Cummins who extend a warm welcome to all guests who pass their way
and love to share with them their enthusiasm for the area.
Cost: £210.00, if sharing a room; £245.00 for single occupancy of a room

Jan Sutch Pickard is a writer and storyteller, now living on Mull. A Member of the dispersed Iona Community, she worked in Iona from 1999 to 2004, latterly as Warden.
She enjoys telling traditional stories from Mull and Iona, and others she heard from her family, but also 'travellers tales' from places where she has lived or worked in different
parts of the world. Jan's books of poetry include Out of Iona and Between high and low water, which has just been published by Wild Goose.
Many of these poems belong to this place. This weekend there will be a chance to walk the lonely shores and moorland that inspired them, and may well inspire you,
while also visiting very different places in imagination. We'll share discoveries and words, and enjoy each others' company.
